  As you soar west, you will enjoy aerial views of Uganda’s lush tea estates and volcanic crater lakes before descending toward the majestic 'Mountains of the Moon.' Landing at Kasese Airstrip, you are just a short, scenic transfer away from the Kibale Forest. It is the ultimate way to travel—arriving at the Primate Capital of the World fresh, relaxed, and ready for adventure.

  Enjoy a scenic private transfer from Kasese Airstrip to Kyaninga Lodge, winding through the crater lake region with views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Activities Day 3

Morning

  Prepare for an exhilarating, high-energy encounter with our closest living relatives. Unlike the slow-paced movement of gorillas, Chimpanzee tracking is an active, acoustic adventure.

   

  Guided by expert rangers, you will trek through the lush Kibale rainforest, following the pant-hoots and drum-like sounds of the community. Once located, you will spend a mesmerizing hour observing their complex social behaviors—grooming, playing, and communicating in the canopy above. It is a raw and dynamic glimpse into the origins of human behavior.

Activities Day 4

Morning

  Step outside the main forest to explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a lush biodiversity hotspot located in the Magombe Swamp. Recognized globally as a model for community-led conservation, this project proves that tourism can change lives.

   

  Traversing a network of raised wooden boardwalks, you will enjoy exceptional visibility of the swamp’s teeming life. It is a primate lover’s playground, often offering better sightings of the Grey-cheeked Mangabey and Red Colobus than the dense forest itself. For birders, it is the ultimate destination to spot the vibrant Great Blue Turaco. Best of all, your visit directly funds local schools and community development projects.

Activity Day 5

All Day

  Embark on a full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX). Unlike the standard trek, you will join researchers to spend four hours observing a semi-habituated community, witnessing their de-nesting, feeding, and complex social interactions in depth.
