Activities Day 2

Morning

  Bypass the long drive and take to the skies for a scenic journey to the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains.

   

   Landing at Kasese Airstrip, you are just a short, scenic transfer away from the Kibale Forest, the Primate Capital of the World.
• 
  Enjoy a scenic private transfer from Kasese Airstrip to Kyaninga Lodge, winding through the crater lake region with views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Rest of Day

• 
  Spend the afternoon unwinding by the pool, soaking in the panoramic views of the crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains.

Activities Day 3

Morning

• 
  Guided by expert rangers, you will trek through the lush Kibale rainforest, following the pant-hoots and drum-like sounds of the community. Once located, you will spend a mesmerizing hour observing their complex social behaviors—grooming, playing, and communicating.

Afternoon

• 
  When you come back, you can enjoy a complimentary in-room massage or spa treatment designed to soothe your muscles and prepare you for the days ahead.

Activities Day 4

Morning

  Step outside the main forest to explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a lush biodiversity hotspot located in the Magombe Swamp. Recognized globally as a model for community-led conservation, this project proves that tourism can change lives.

   

Activity Day 5

All Day

• 
  Embark on a full-day Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX). Unlike the standard trek, you will join researchers to spend four hours observing a semi-habituated community, witnessing their de-nesting, feeding, and complex social interactions in depth.

Activities Day 6

Morning

• 
  This drive offers a fascinating cross-section of the country's geography. As we descend into the northern plains, the landscape transforms from rolling green hills to the vast, palm-studded savannahs of Murchison Falls National Park.
  Transfer time; 2 to 3 hours

Afternoon

• 
  Board a private boat charter for an exclusive cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Unlike crowded public tours, this private vessel lets you approach the banks at your own pace, ensuring silence and ideal angles for photographing elephants, hippos, and birdlife.

Activities Day 7

Early Morning

• 
  Rise with the dawn for an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains. This is the 'Golden Hour,' when light is optimal, and the chances of spotting predators like lions and leopards are highest before the heat of the day sets in.

Rest of Day

• 
  Spend the day at leisure, allowing the stillness of the lodge to help you absorb and reflect on the incredible encounters of the past week.

Activity Day 8

  Bid farewell to the golden savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park as we journey north along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. This scenic drive offers one of Uganda’s most dramatic landscape transformations.

Activity Day 9

Morning

  Enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Guided by expert trackers, you will hike through the rugged Nkuringo terrain to find a habituated family, spending one unforgettable hour observing them.

Activities Day 10

Morning

  Join Batwa elders for the Buniga Forest Walk, a respectful 'living history' experience. As the original keepers of the forest, they will guide you through the ancient woodlands

Rest of Day

• 
  Embrace the luxury of doing nothing. At this altitude, rest is vital to the experience. Spend the remainder of the day in your cottage, watching the clouds drift over the volcanoes as you recharge for tomorrow's final trek.

Activity Day 11

Early Morning

  Embark on the ultimate wildlife encounter: The Gorilla Habituation Experience. After a short transfer to the Rushaga trailhead, you will join a specialized team of researchers and rangers. Unlike the standard trek, you will spend four hours with a semi-habituated family

Activity Day 12

Morning

  Board your flight from the airstrip for a spectacular aerial journey back to civilization. Soar over the patchwork hills of Kigezi and the vast expanse of Lake Victoria before touching down in Entebbe. It is a fitting, scenic goodbye to the Pearl of Africa
