  As you soar over the 'Switzerland of Africa,' the terrain shifts from rolling green hills to the majestic volcanic peaks of the Virunga Massif. The approach to the Kisoro airstrip is breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the volcanoes before landing. From there, it is just a short, scenic transfer to the Rushaga Sector, ensuring you arrive fresh, energized, and ready for your encounter with the mountain gorillas.

Activity Day 2

Early Morning

• 
  Today offers the most exclusive wildlife encounter in Africa: The Gorilla Habituation Experience. Unlike the standard trek, which is limited to 1 hour, this special permit grants you 4 hours in the presence of a semi-wild Gorilla family.

   

  You will join a team of researchers and rangers to observe the gorillas as they gradually get used to human presence. With a maximum of 4 guests per group, this is an intimate, unhurried, and deeply scientific immersion into their world. It is the ultimate privilege for the true primate enthusiast.
